Article Summary:
As part of our Energy Control solution, we enable users to receive daily email alerts for updates on active faults and warnings on each given panel.
Alerts can be managed via the online portal by selecting the 'user' icon in the top right hand corner of the portal. This will allow you to select 'Preferences' where you can toggle alert notifications to be active.
If you receive an alert and want to view in further detail or action as appropriate, you can access the control panel(s) remotely via https://portal.arcsett.com/.
Read on for more details.
Introduction:
This article will walk through how you can configure email alerts to be on, so that they are received, or how to switch them off, so that they are no longer sent.
The email alerts will be sent on a daily basis. You will only receive an email if there is at least one active alert on your panel, if there are no alerts then no email will be sent.
The email will cover all alert types; this includes faults and warnings. For more information on faults see here: Faults – ArcSett, and for more information on warnings see here: Warnings – ArcSett.
If you want more details on how to manage active faults see: How to resolve a fault – ArcSett.
Navigation:
In order to make changes to email alert preferences, this needs to be done via the online portal.
Note: you will only be able to activate email alerts if you are in a relevant service package. For more on service packages, see here: Service packages – ArcSett.
In order to access the online portal, you can select the following link: https://portal.arcsett.com/.
Once logged into the online portal:
- Select the user icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Select the 'Preferences' option from the drop down list
- This will take you onto the 'Alerting Notifications' preferences page
Configuring Email Alerts:
You will be presented with a page similar to the below:
On this page you can select the relevant panels for which you wish to receive alert notifications from. You can also switch the alerting on (or off) so that it triggers an alert (or not).
Note: Alerts will typically be sent every morning. They will only be triggered if there is an active alert. If you do not have any alerts present then you will not receive any notification.
Validation of Outputs:
In order to validate if you are successfully receiving the daily email alerts, you can firstly check if there are any active alerts by checking the panel. See
If you have an active alert on your panel then you should receive an email from ArcSett. Simply check your emails in the morning (Approximately 8am).
An example of the type of email output you will receive is shown below:
Supressing Alerts:
If you are getting the same daily alert notification, and you are aware of prevailing issue/cause, it may be that you want to supress the alert. If you supress the alert, it will temporarily disappear from your active alerts, preventing the daily notification.
For more information of supressing alerts see: How to supress panel alerts.
