About End Time Optimisation:
End Time Optimisation (Optimum Off) is a simple yet cost effective energy saving strategy which is effective for spaces in which we can drop the target temperature without affecting the performance of your warehouse in any meaningful fashion at the end of a shift.
Navigation:
The end time optimisation settings can be configured within the zone settings.
To navigate to the Zone Settings screen:
- Log in to the panel using your 6-digit PIN
- Click the navigation logo in the top left hand corner of the panel
- Select Settings from the drop down menu
- Select the Zone Settings option
Understanding the End Time Optimisation:
End Time Optimisation assumes that by dropping the target temperature within the final hour of a shift, there will be no material impact to users, product or product at site. The core basis for this savings strategy is that at the end of the shift, there will be less awareness of a slightly drop in the heat level.
Note: A user with Site Manager access can alter this setting.
By turning it on, the temperature will slowly ramp down in the last 45 minutes of shift in 15-minute increments to save money as people begin to get ready to go home.
- At 45 mins the target decreases by 0.5°C (for example, target of 18°C, shift ending at 5PM - at 4:15 PM the target will be 17.5°C)
- At 30 mins the target decreases by 1 (for example, target of 18°C, shift ending at 5 PM – at 4:30 PM the target will be 17°C)
- At 15 mins the target decreases by 3 (for example, target of 18°C, shift ending at 5 PM – at 4:45 PM the target will be 15°C)
On our newer model outstations, users can choose different levels of intensity depending on your specific goals:
- Low intensity: This will reduce the target temperature by 0.5°C for the last 30 minutes of the schedule and 1°C lower for last 15 minutes.
- Medium intensity: This will reduce the target temperature by 0.5°C from 60 minutes before the end of the schedule, 1°C lower for last 30 minutes, and 2°C lower for last 15 minutes.
- High intensity: This will reduce the target temperature by 1°C from 60 minutes before the end of the schedule, 2°C lower for last 30 minutes, and 3°C lower for last 15 minutes.
If you log into your panel and go to Zone Settings and scroll down, you will be able to see Optimum on at the bottom and the level of intensity to select.
If you have any questions or need someone to help walk you through this process, please get in touch today! Additionally, if you cannot see the options for different levels of intensity, it’s likely that your outstations need to be upgraded. Again, please speak to our team today so we can assist you.
