Understanding the Consumption Chart:
When accessing the consumption chart you will see something like the below:
The green line represents the cumulative number of minutes that we have received an "ON" signal back from the heater in question, since the beginning of the last Monday.
Use the button in the top left hand corner to choose a zone. Use the buttons along the bottom of the chart to switch between views for 1 day, 2 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. you can also use the select button to choose a specific time-frame.
Holding your cursor over the line will bring up a pop-up so you can see the exact readings at the point your cursor is referencing on the chart. The graph resets at midnight between Sunday and Monday.
More simply put, we constantly monitor the heaters we are connected to to see if they are switched on. We receive a simple electronic signal back from the device, and if we are receiving that signal, the output light will be lit up on the browse screen. The chart tracks when the equipment was ON (and when we were receiving this signal). So, if the line is flat, the device is off. If the line is incrementing, the device is ON.
Whilst the outstation is constantly monitoring the various temperatures to ensure controls are always optimised, the panel records this information in half hour increments. Thus, for a single day, you will see 48 readings, one each half hour.
