Introduction:
This article will go through how you can add a new user to the energy control panel.
Navigation:
In order to add a new user to the panel (the physical controls at site), you need to have access to the control panel with Site Manager level permissions - see here for more information on permissions: Permissions chart – ArcSett.
Once you are at the panel:
1. Select the ArcSett Logo in the top left hand corner.
2. Log in to the control panel using your 6 digit PIN.
3. Click the Logo again and choose settings.
4. Select Add/Edit Users.
5. Action changes as appropriate.
Configuring a New User:
Once you have access the Add/ Edit users page you are able to set up a new user easily.
The key items to configure are as follows:
- Add a User Name
- Select a 6 digit PIN code
- Choose a user Role
Note: The PIN must not begin with 0. For information about which Role to choose check out this article.
Ensure you select the save button to ensure changes are actioned.
Validation of Outputs:
In order to validate that a new users has been correctly set up, simply re-navigate to the add/edit users page. When you open this page, you should see the new user displaying within the 'Edit User' section of the page.
The changes should take effect immediately. You will also now see the user profile display as an option when you select to login to the panel via the ArcSett logo in the top left of the panel.
