Article Summary:
You can schedule a panel shut down by accessing the info page in the zone settings. We do not recommend you do this unless it is essential. Read on further for more details.
Introduction:
This article will go through how you can shut down the energy control panel.
As best practise we suggest that you always leave the energy control panel scheduled and working. This will ensure you benefit from latest software updates and security fixes.
Navigation:
In order to schedule a panel shutdown you need to have access to the control panel. Once you are at the panel:
1. Select the ArcSett Logo in the top left hand corner.
2. Log in to the control panel using your 6 digit PIN.
3. Click the Logo again and choose settings.
4. Select the info button.
5. Select the shutdown panel button.
Scheduling a Panel Shutdown:
In some circumstances, you may need to switch the power off to the control panel.
This is okay to do as the panel has a reserve battery which will preserve the date and time. However, it will not be able to retrieve any data it may have collected whilst it's switched off.
You must ensure that if you intend to cut the power to the device, then to prevent any corruption, you must schedule a shutdown which will power down the device with care and safely.
Validation of Output:
When the panel is shutdown, the screen will briefly go black and you will see a start up screen. This will show you that the shutdown has been successful.
