Heating Control
The Arcsett Energy Controls are able to provide heating control for any applicable onsite equipment. This allows you to manage temperature control and apply energy-saving strategies on a scheduled basis.
Control Offered
Our Energy Controls allow you to connect heating so that it is managed as part of the same centralised energy control system as other onsite equipment, such as lighting and cooling. This ensures that heating is only used when required, optimising both comfort and efficiency.
Equipment Symbol
Any heating zone connected at your site will be clearly distinguished by the flame symbol on our control panel, as shown below.
Settings
The heating control solution offers a variety of configurable settings to help you manage energy savings and zone-specific requirements. To access the heating zone settings, log in to the panel using your 6-digit PIN. Then, click the navigation logo in the top left-hand corner to open the dropdown menu, and select Settings. Once on the settings screen, navigate to Zone Settings to configure heating zones. You are able to use the toggle to change the settings on all heating zones at once or just one at a time.
Available settings include:
- Fallback – Lowest temperature before heating activates outside of a shift, providing frost and production protection.
- Max/Min Fallback Temp – Maximum and minimum limits for the fallback temperature.
- Control Modifier – Sets the operating mode for the equipment.
- Cooling Difference – The temperature difference that activates cooling.
- Max/Min Day Temp – Maximum and minimum day target temperatures.
- Max Override On/Off Time – Maximum time a zone can be manually overridden ON or OFF.
- Max Override Temp – Highest override temperature allowed.
- Max Preheat Time – Maximum preheat time, even if the self-learning algorithm suggests longer.
- Stop Mode Active – Adjusts indoor temperature when outdoor conditions are warm enough.
- Stop Mode Target Temp – The new internal target temperature when Stop Mode activates.
- External Trigger Temp – The external temperature that activates Stop Mode.
- Compensation Strategy – Adjusts for external conditions to improve energy efficiency.
- Learning Active – Enables the self-learning algorithm to optimise preheat accuracy.
- Max Number of Shifts Used – Sets the maximum shifts in a single day pattern.
- Optimum ON – Uses the self-learning algorithm for preheating.
- Rate of Rise – Defines the temperature increase rate during preheat.
- Optimum OFF – Ramps down heating before the end of a shift to save energy.
If you have onsite heating that would benefit from being connected to our energy controls, you can contact us now at support@arcsett.co.uk. If you already have energy controls installed, it will be easier to integrate your heating zones as the central intelligence and control point is already in place.
