Introduction:
This article will go through how to apply services codes to the energy control panel. Service codes are typically used to force the heating on, in order for a HVAC Engineer to be able to service the onsite equipment.
Navigation:
In order to apply a service code via a panel:
- Select the ArcSett Logo in the top left hand corner.
- Select the Service Code Option.
- Type in todays day code from ArcSett.
- Select the zones to force on.
- Select 'Go' to activate the service code for that zone.
In order to access todays service code:
- Visit daycodes.arcsett.com.
- Log in to the day codes website.
- Access the service code for that day.
Understanding Service Codes:
In the event that you need to switch all zones on, you can do this using the service code. This will allow you to apply a 30 minute override for all, or for some of your zones in one action.
For security, the service codes changes on a daily basis. You can access daily codes at daycodes.arcsett.com. If you have not used the day codes website previously you can sign up here. If you are struggling to access the day codes website, contact our team today for additional support.
Applying Service Codes:
Once you have the code, use the following instructions to apply it to the panel. You can do this at site at the physical panel, or online by logging into https://arcsett.co.uk/ and accessing the panel remotely.
Once you have logged into the panel using the service code, you will see a screen similar to the one below: Once on this site you should:
- Select the tick-boxes for the zones you want to apply a 30 minute override for.
- Press GO to force the heating on for 30 mins in the selected zones.
- Press STOP to cancel the forced heating, at any time.
The override via the service code will just close the relay and switch the heating on, there is no target temperature - the outstations will simply call for heat until the 30 minutes are over.
Note: You can also apply overrides to switch zones on or off through the Browse menu. Doing it this way will allow you to set target temperatures and time-frames, but will only allow you to override each zone individually, rather than all or some in one fell swoop. To find out more about overrides click here: How to apply an override – ArcSett.
Validation of Outputs:
In order to validate if a service code is actively working, you can check at the heater itself. The heater will be fully switched on for that time frame.
